Mr. McCurry's final place of rest is located at Garden of Devotion I, O-9, Space 4. CHRIS MCCURRY, age 40, of Baldwin, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. Mr. McCurry was born on January 16, 1972, in Habersham County, Georgia, to Michael D. and Wanda Tanksley McCurry of Clarkesville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Estelle Tanksley and Jack and Betty McCurry. Chris was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. He was the owner of McCurry Welding Company. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Franklin McCurry, Baldwin, GA; daughter, Taylor McCurry, Baldwin, GA; and brother, Greg McCurry, Demorest, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Lavay McCullough and Rev. Telford Tanksley officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
