Mr. Cook's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah I, B-12, Space 2. GRADY WATSON COOK, age 92 of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 09, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. A life-long native of Habersham County, Mr. Cook was born on February 01, 1927, a son of the late Sparta Watson Cook & Elma Lee Cook. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Cook was a retired cattle & poultry farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Vera Jordan & Edna Woods, brothers & sister-in-law, Homer Cook, Charles & Joan Cook. Survivors include loving wife of 58 years, Nina Craven Cook, son and daughter-in-law, Greg & Kathleen Cook, daughter and son-in-law, Jan & Tom Weyrich, all of Alto, GA; grandchildren, Scott, Austin, Cody, Hunter, & Halle Weyrich, Amanda Cook & Bryan Cook, all of Alto, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Hargrove & Hazel Cook, sister-in-law, Lois Cook, all of Alto, GA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.
