James Vernon Ramey

Mr. Ramey's final place of rest is located at Garden of Devotion I, C-6, Space 1. Mr. James Vernon Ramey, age 59, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Ramey was born in Towns County on May 8, 1951 to the late Johnnie Ramey and Julia Shook Ramey. He worked as a mechanic at Ramey Motors. Survivors include his wife: Cindy Gilbert Ramey, Cleveland; son: Len Ramey, Cleveland; brothers: J.B. Ramey, Cleveland; Lloyd Ramey, Cumming; Fletcher Ramey, Cleveland; Venson Ramey, Demorest; sister, Vada Fry, Midway; grandchildren: Megan, Nicholas and Alex and many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Loyd Martin and Rev. Gary Hefner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6- 9 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
