Jason Lane Free

Mr. Free's final place of rest is located at Garden ofDevotion II, I -4, Space 4. Jason Lane Free, age 77 of Demorest, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016. Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on October 12, 1938, he was a son of the late Gladys Free. Mr. Free was retired from Clarkesville Mill with over 30 years of service. He then was employed with Walmart for over 15 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener. Survivors include wife of 58 years, Doris Standridge Free of Demorest; sons, Tommy Free of Demorest and Anthony Free of Cleveland; daughters, Angela Freeman of Demorest and Robin Sims of Clarkesville; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services are 3 pm Sunday, April 3, 2016, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Lester Haynes and Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
