Lillian Elizabeth Mahan

Mrs. Mahan's final place of rest is located at Garden of Prayer, RB , Space 2. Lillian Elizabeth Demko Mahan, age 84, of Demorest, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Trenton, NJ, on November 1, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Szalai Demko. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Demola. Mrs. Mahan had lived in Port St. Lucie FL. for 17 years prior to moving to Demorest and was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church. She was retired from Rider University in Trenton, New Jersey. Survivors include husband, Fred Mahan of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Cynthia Mahan of Cornelia; 1 grandson, Nathan Mahan of Cornelia. Graveside services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Richard Marinchak officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 1:30 pm on Tuesday.
