Mrs. Callam's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, C-15, Space 1. LOUISE ELLISON CALLAM, age 102, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at a private care facility. Mrs. Callam was born on January 31, 1910, in Habersham County; daughter of the late George Matthew and Susie Trotter Ellison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Callam; sister, Catherine Logan; and brother, Rothell Ellison. Mrs. Callam was a graduate of Piedmont College and a retired elementary school teacher with 39 years of service. She was a member of the Habersham County Retired Teachers Association and the First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville.Survivors include her sisters, Judy Ellison, Clarkesville, GA and Frances E. Burke, Cornelia, GA; brother and sister-in-law, C.J. and Mildred Ellison, Clarkesville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Lisa Graves officiating.
