Mrs. Callam's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, C-15, Space 1. LOUISE ELLISON CALLAM, age 102, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at a private care facility. Mrs. Callam was born on January 31, 1910, in Habersham County; daughter of the late George Matthew and Susie Trotter Ellison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Callam; sister, Catherine Logan; and brother, Rothell Ellison. Mrs. Callam was a graduate of Piedmont College and a retired elementary school teacher with 39 years of service. She was a member of the Habersham County Retired Teachers Association and the First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville.Survivors include her sisters, Judy Ellison, Clarkesville, GA and Frances E. Burke, Cornelia, GA; brother and sister-in-law, C.J. and Mildred Ellison, Clarkesville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Lisa Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville, 181 Jefferson Street, Clarkesville, Georgia 30523.Those wishing to express online condolences to the Callam family may do so by visiting www.whitfieldfuneralhomes.com.
