Mrs. Lucille Barrett Brown, age 81 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away Tuesday September 15, 2026, at her residence.

A daughter of the late Cecil and Nora Mae Burch Barrett, she was born December 7, 1944, in Hiawassee, Georgia having lived most of her life in Clarkesville. She loved cooking, baking and making flower arrangements. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her brothers Larry and Phillip Barrett.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years Leon Brown; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jamie Brown of Mt. Airy, Chris Brown of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Candace(Josh) Newsom, Hannah(Kyle) Johnson, Taylor Kolesnick(Cory Ivester), Zach(Makensy) Brown; great-grandchildren, Easton, Chasen, Saylor, Poppy, Tanner; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Judy Barrett of Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Betty Barrett of Flowery Branch and LaBrada Barrett of Clarkesville; and several neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 12 P.M. at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Don Samples and Mr. Kyle Johnson officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Dustin Barrett, Josh Barrett, Brad Barrett, Jeremy Barrett, Nathan Barrett and Zach Brown.
