Mrs. Ragan's final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, G-17, Space 1. Lucy McCoy Ragan, age 92, of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Mrs. Ragan was born on April 6, 1926 in Maysville, Georgia to the late John and Mittie McCoy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Lamar Ragan, Jr. Mrs. Ragan was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Ragan was a loving and dedicated Pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, Rev. Sam Ragan; daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Tom Morrison, of Commerce; Wanda and Stan Morris, of Alto; eight grandchildren, and eleven great great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2019 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Mike Wilson and Dr. Wanda Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Johnny Loudermilk officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the funeral home.
