Mrs. Enloe's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance II, A-10, Space 1. Mae Drinnon Enloe, age 87 of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Bell Minor Nursing Home following a brief illness. Born in the Lower Burningtown section of Franklin, North Carolina on May 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late David Ervin and Americus “Mary” Teague Drinnon. Mrs. Enloe was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Some of her hobbies included gardening, sewing, cleaning and cooking. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Enloe was also preceded in death by sisters, Florence Drinnon, Annie Poindexter and Nannie McCrackin; brothers, Robert Drinnon and William “Bill” Drinnon; two infant siblings; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are husband of 69 years, Ralph Enloe of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Freda and Victor Mihill of Adelphia, MD; son, James Vance Enloe of Toccoa; grandchildren, David Mihill, Mark Mihill, Tim Mihill, Scott Enloe and Melissa McCain; six great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Randy Drinnon officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Friday. An online guest register is available and may be viewed at www.mcgaheegriffinandstewart.com.
