Patricia Goodwin

Mrs. Goodwin's final place of rest is located at Garden of Remembrance III, C-6, Space 3. Patricia Goodwin, age 75 of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at her residence. Born on July 31, 1938, in Brundidge, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Charlie, “C.F.” and Wannie Mae Bowden Carter. Mrs. Goodwin was the salutatorian of her high school graduating class. She was an active member of Harvest Christian Church, where she served as church secretary. She retired from Community Bank & Trust and was also a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, painting, singing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goodwin was also preceded in death by grandson, Brent Lee Moore; brother, Charlie “C.F.” Carter, Jr.; sister, Constance Webb. Survivors include husband of 57 years, Thomas Gerald Goodwin of Clarkesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa G. and David Lawson Crouch of Turnerville and Tonya and Brad Moore of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy Gerald and Renee Goodwin of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Thomas Gregory and Lori Goodwin of Freeport, Florida; grandchildren, Lisa, Gabe, Cody, and Morgan Goodwin, Megan Wise, Trisha Crouch, Michael Williams, Blake, Brandon, Brett, and Blair Moore, Candace Turner; great grandchildren, Caden Wise, Sydney Crouch, Grant and Davis Goodwin, Emrie and Ashe Turner; brother, Eugene Carter of Dothan, Alabama; sister, Joyce Shiver of Wewahitchka, Florida. Funeral services are 11:00 am Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Harvest Christian Church with David Terrell, Pastor Mike Franklin, Dan Kornegay and Shelton Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Wednesday.
