Mrs. Campbell's final place of rest is located at Garden of Calvary.
Peggy Ann Campbell, age 82, of Alto, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Ms. Campbell was born on September 14, 1943 in Norway, South Carolina to the late Noah Campbell, Jr. and Daisy Mae Chavis Campbell, of Orangeburg, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Campbell; great-grandson, Alex Bloodworth.
Peggy Ann Campbell was a sweet, selfless woman. She spent her life caring for the people she loved always making sure everyone around her was taken care of before herself. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, fresh tomatoes, and no one could beat her pear preserves. Often found her walking through flea markets and thrift stores if there was a bargain she could find it. Her cooking wasn't just made with love you could taste it in every meal she made. One of the things people will remember most was her hugs. When she hugged you, she held on tight, and you could truly feel how much she loved you. Her kindness, warmth, and caring heart will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Survivors include her companion, Benny Dover, of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Cindy Bloodworth, of South Carolina; Jerry Matthew and Machelle Sutton, of Baker, Florida; grandchildren, Jessie and Josh Bloodworth, Austin, Kaitlyn, and Emma Sutton; great-grandchildren, Troy, Aiden, Gracelyn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and David Shecut, May and Scotty Evans; sister, Regina DeWolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. John Reeser officiating. Interment will follow at the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the funeral home.
