Richard H. Bieder, age 98, of Cornelia, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 26, 2026.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 24, 1927, Richard was the son of the late Walter Bieder and Martha Haselow Bieder. A proud member of the Greatest Generation, Richard answered the call to serve his country during World War II, faithfully serving in the United States Army. His military service reflected the courage, honor, and devotion to duty that would continue to characterize the way he lived his life.
Following his military service, Richard enjoyed a successful career as Co-Owner & Manager with E.D. Green Company, where he dedicated many years of faithful service. He was admired for his strong work ethic, integrity, and dependability.
Above all else, Richard treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud Granddaddy whose greatest joy came from the time he spent with those he loved. His quiet strength, gentle spirit, and steadfast love will forever remain a treasured legacy in the hearts of his family. Richard was of the Primitive Baptist faith and found comfort and hope in his relationship with the Lord throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean Green Bieder.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Candice Bieder Greer (Mark), Alan Bieder, and Brian Bieder (Marianne); nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
A graveside memorial service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Georgia, with Elder Silas Ford officiating.
