Teresa Irene Adkins, age 99 passed away, Thursday, July 30, 2026.

Mrs. Adkins was born in New Philadelphia, PA on October 23, 1926.

Teresa enjoyed time spent with family & close friends. She was known for her warm spirit, love of family, & gentle heart.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Donald J. Adkins; son, Daniel J. Neary; sisters, Marie Grissom of VA, Josie Dornin of PA, Emily Marshall of VA; and brother, Joe of Canada.

Survivors include daughter, Barbara Hollis of Sautee, GA; son, James P. Neary of Cleveland, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Janet & Allen Hope of Clarkesville, GA.

We would like to thank the staff at Gateway Nursing Home, Cleveland, GA, for their excellent care over the last 4 years.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her best friend Ms. Elizabeth Stewart Jones.

A Private interment for the family will be at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
