Wilbon Carl Dooley

Mr. Dooley's final place of rest is located at Sunset Hill IV, E-4, Space 4. Wilbon Carl Dooley, age 75, of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his residence. Born in Stephens County on June 25, 1936, he was a son of the late Jeff and Georgia martin Dooley. Mr. Dooley lived most of his life in Habersham County. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver for Tony Cook Trucking. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Fortson Dooley of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Melissa Dooley of Lawrenceville, Jeff and Tammy Dooley of Leesburg, VA.; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Harold Williams of Cornelia, Donna and Woody Brown of Eastanollee; sister, Georgia Dooley of Franklin County; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Oliver Dorsey officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until the service hour on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 – 8 pm on Tuesday.
