Mrs. Sims' final place of rest is located at Garden of Yonah II, J-14, Space 1. ZELL ROGERS SIMS, age 94, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011, at Habersham Home West in Demorest, Georgia. Mrs. Sims was born on January 8, 1917, in Towns County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Berrong Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sims and her son, Harold Sims. Mrs. Sims was a homemaker and a member of the Northside Community Church. Survivors include her daughter, Betty J. Gunn, Baldwin, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Bernice and Homer Campbell, Baldwin, GA; daughter-in-law, Lanelda Sims, Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Trent Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
